Craig Paulsen
President, Co-founding Principal
Mr. Paulsen has been working in the design services industry for more than 10 years. Prior to forming Arira, he worked for Set Engineering, a Morgan Hill, California based product development firm, as a design engineer, product architect, and engineering manager. During this time he has led projects ranging from 8051 based handheld devices to multi-port OC-192 linecards, and has participated in the development of product patents for multiple clients. Prior to his career in outsource services, Mr. Paulsen held engineering positions at Norand Corporation, a Cedar Rapids, Iowa based company that manufactured ruggedized handheld PC's for data acquisition and industrial applications and for Hewlett Packard. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from California State University, Chico.
Tom Wood
Co-founding principal
Prior to Arira, he was a hardware design engineer at Set Engineering, an
engineering service provider company, where he was the lead engineer on a
variety of products ranging from handheld touch screen computers to
telecommunication system line cards. Prior to Set Engineering, he was a
hardware design engineer at Hewlett Packard where he was the lead design
engineer on HP's first line of docking stations that interfaced to the
entire notebook line. He holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from
Seattle University, in Seattle, Washington.
Jay Couch
Co-founding principal
Prior to Arira, he was a hardware design engineer at Set Engineering, an
engineering service provider company, where he was the lead engineer on a
variety of products ranging from OC-192 line cards to Dual Pentium storage
blades. Mr. Couch has also held design engineering positions at LuxN, a WDM
access system manufacturer, Cisco Systems, PipeLinks, Inc., and Norand
Corporation. He holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from California State
University, Chico.
Dan Williams
Vice-President
Sales and Marketing
Dan brings over 20 years of high technology regional sales and business development experience. Dan's background includes building and managing sales teams in the printed circuit industry as well as contract manufacturing businesses. Dan has held Sales and Sales Management positions at Sanmina, DDi, Whizz Systems and Tyco.
